Rev Merica Cox is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Balm of Gilead World Ministries
Rev Cox first heard the Call of God in 1990 when she was a fashion designer at a major international exporter. She went through a period of preparation that saw her undertake a number of important ministries and missions responsibilities under authority at Victory Fellowship, Bulawayo.
Following a number of confirmations, Rev Cox and Pastor Joel Cox, her husband, founded Balm of Gilead World Ministries in 1996.
In 2001 Rev Merica came to the United Kingdom according to a prophetic word concerning her life and settled in High Wycombe, England. Two years later the church started in her lounge in Dashwood Avenue and the group later moved to the Reggie Grove Centre in the town centre then moving to the Wye Valley Community Centre in High Wycombe town centre and later to the current location at Green Street Community Center off Dashwood Avenue in High Wycombe.
In 2005 it was decided to start a branch in Romford Essex. In 2006 the Cox family moved to Wellingborough in Northamptonshire where a few months later they started holding services giving birth to another branch.

Rev Cox has ministered in across Africa, in the USA, Canada and most recently, in India.
Rev Cox holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
